The 2023 MLB playoffs kick off THIS AFTERNOON, with 12 teams battling for a World Series Title.
Our Minnesota Twins will take on the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League Wild Card Series. They will play today, tomorrow (Wednesday 10/4), and on Thursday if necessary to break a tie. Playoffs are special because making it there means a team has performed well enough in the regular season to qualify for the postseason. Playoff appearances generate excitement and enthusiasm among the team's fan base. It's an opportunity for fans to rally behind their team and hope for a deep playoff run. In the past 10 years, the Twins have made the playoffs four times but were never able to win. They've been in the playoffs a total of 18 times in their 123 seasons. With only two World Championships as the Minnesota Twins and another one when the team was still in Washington DC, the Twins are on the hunt to advance to the next round by the end of the week!
